We lost our bunny and are considering adopting again. We found 3 bunnies at a shelter we really like, but they are bonded, so if we want to adopt them, we have to take all of them. We can’t take just 1 or 2 (I wouldn’t want to break them up anyway.) They are sisters, spayed, under a year old, inquisitive, and at least two of them seem to be pretty high-energy lol They are Dutch bunnies.
We are hesitating, though, because we don’t know if we can handle 3 bunnies after only having 1. Maybe it’s too big a step. We know that’s going to be 3 vet bills, more food, a bigger pen, and three times the supervision, but is there anything else we need to consider? Does anybody else who has 3 bunnies or more have any insight to share? We like our bunnies to be part of the family, so any bunny who joins us will be free-range, though we are considering keeping them in an exercise pen during the day when we aren’t around to supervise. Our first bunny took over our daughter’s room and just slept under the bed, but I don’t know if we want to attempt that with 3 bunnies lol
