Thanks for indulging me ![]()
What a cute bunny! I love wild rabbits.
I have a strange feeling that I’ve seen everything in those photos (except for the plants and bunny) before in real life. o.o
What do you mean?
I feel like that tree belongs in the “life is a bunny” gallery. Looks just like a bunny yawn!
I love that tree! The sun rises right behind it from where we live, and it always looks so mysterious and beautiful!
Yes, a lot less disapproving! LOL
Cute and pretty pictures!
Thanks : D
One of them was giving me this look like “I will tolerate you only so far… you can come this close, but not much closer.”
He had SUCH a big white cottontail!
I saw your previous offering on Disapproving Rabbits
Feel free to indulge as often as you like!
Wild bunny! I have a ton of wild bunnies around my house I love watching race around the yard by the woods!
They’re so cute! I don’t know why, but all of them around here have snowy white tails!
our bunnies do to! they have really cute short ears they kinda remind me of a dwarf! lol I love them! They started showing up not to long after I got Basil.
OMG…bunneee…TOO CLOSE TO THE ROAD! 0_o;
Is that on your street? Where did you take these at? Same place as before?
I remembered who the disapproving cottontail in your last set of photos reminded me of, Woundwort from the Watership Down movie. He had a nasty glare like that too.
This one seems to be much lighter in color than the previous bun. What a weird time to finally be getting their winter coats!
Wow, that was way close to the warren entrance there. I’m surprised you didn’t get a warning thump or something. So cute though! (the bunny I mean, not the hole)
That tree looks so strange! lolz…Not one I’d want to have to walk past during Halloween, for sure.
Love the weird plants. Looks like something you’d see growing on Mars. ^_^ Or in a Star Trek movie.
As always, lovely photography! I think you have a hidden career there, Lizzie!
Oh don’t worry, sugar, he was just crossing the lot behind our apartment and into the field next to it. He’s very safe. That field is FULL of bunnies, and they hide in a giant rock pile in the middle. I was skulking around that rock pile trying to glimpse a few more, but they were too quick for me : D
Are you feeling better now? Not still sick I hope?
Wow! Beautiful! If I had wild bunnies near my house I’d actually get my butt out for some exercise!
I must admit I’m very jealous!
We have hiking trails pretty near my house but never saw a bunny (although Ricky did) but I saw a baby deer close up and there’s a beaver dam I enjoy seeing. Nature is amazing.
Lizzie, you have such great photographs! I wanna bun nap that bunnie! So cute ![]()
EDIT: is it me, or are the eyes on the bunny very dark and almost bulging? ![]()
lol, bulging bun eyes? Maybe he’s trying to out-stare me!
BEAVER DAM! Now that is something I would really enjoy seeing! Next time you hike, would you mind taking a camera for me?
; )
It’s snowing pretty hard here. When we pulled up in the driveway, there was a bunny sitting under my husband’s truck. He was so cute! He saw us coming though and he ran alongside the front of the house. When I walked by the path he took on the way to the door, I looked over to see his tracks in the snow. It was so funny because you saw hop, hop, hop and then they stopped at the basement window well. Then on the other side of the window well, there was another hop, hop, hop. Hehe! Silly bunny!
I love the tracks! We see them everywhere, and we’re always like, “Where’s the bunny?!”

I can see why you love it there! Did you have any wildlife where you were in Florida?
Next time I see the beaver dam I will try to catch one on film for ya. They are usually active at “bunny hours”; dawn and dusk. I haven’t been out there for a while but it’s so pretty in winter.
We actually have lots of beautiful wildlife in Florida! I’ve been very lucky in that way ![]()
Here are some of my Florida wildlife pictures

Beautiful! Love the first pic! Is that a crane? I Love love love swans! Not so fond of alligators! I seen some at a zoo when I went to Orlando, creepy buggers. They just look so sinister!!! Talk about “stink eye”!
haha! They are quite sinister… almost prehistoric! They’re like living dinosaurs.
This one was just a wittle baby though = D
Did you ever see any American crocodiles in Florida? They are extremely rare now. I saw some in Costa Rica when we had to get out of the bus and walk across a bridge. They were pretty sinister looking, more so that alligators I think!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen one, but I just looked them up and dang they are scary…
Yes, Lizzie, I’m doing much better, thanks for asking.
I love the pelican! They always remind me of the beach house we had when the kids were born.
Wow…those are some prolific bunnies! (Though I wouldn’t imagine they’d be otherwise.) How many does that make in total now…5 or 6?
What are the pruned red twigs near the first bunny in the second set of photos? Are those rosebushes? I love how they stand out against all the other colors in the pic, and they really make the bunny pop too!
lolz…I see so many different tracks here, I am not sure what they all might be. I’ve mistaken what I thought were frantic bunny tracks with moose footprints before. >.< Saw some last night in fact, and of course, Jenna wants to take her LONG walk (I forgot my cell phone too…eep!) and the whole time I'm thinking, "Okay big guy…where are ya? Please don't come busting out of the trees and stomp us!"
We have a small creek not far from us that used to have beaver in it all the time. Sadly I think they were hunted/trapped by too many folks out here. I haven’t seen a beaver dam in about ten years.
So the pink skies are all predawn shots? What on earth are you doing up at that hour?? ^_^
I don’t see daybreak here. (We finally broke the 6 hour mark, woohoo!) I’m always too conked out. Since I’m usually up till about 3 AM each night. Darned insomnia.
aw bummer! My favorite aunt has insomnia too.
Lately, for some reason, I’ve been going to bed early and getting up (insanely) early. I think it has to do with a recent experience I had…
I have congenital high cholesterol from my Dad’s side of the family (thanks, Dad…) and it’s always been a bit of a worry for me, but nothing too serious because I’m only 27. Well, about a month ago, a friend of mine from Florida had a heart attack. He’s 32.
I can only describe it as a feeling of someone jumping up and slapping me in the face. Hard. Since then, I’ve been eating better and taking early morning walks and have basically been scared into being healthier. I don’t really like the idea that fear is the main motivation behind a good life change, but I’m hoping that I can hold on to this healthy lifestyle.
One really good thing about taking before-sunrise walks is that I don’t have to deal with sunscreen lol
: D
A heart attack at 32? That’s scary! I’ve got to start exercising more; heart problems run on my mother’s side. It’s just so hard to get out right now because of the cold. Just going to the store across the street you have to dress like the abominable snowman. I’m hoping this weekend will warm up and I can go in the woods. There is a wilderness park about 10 minutes drive from here that I’ve never been to in winter but I hear it’s gorgeous.
Yeah, it’s really chilly here, but no where NEAR as cold as it is where you live! Phew!
: D
I take a short walk with Jenna twice a day, but it really is still too cold for me to go much longer. I find I am getting terrible leg cramps and backaches depending on what the barometric pressure is, and that usually curtails my activities. I am sure it is not doing my health any good.
My doc said 41 was a young age to get cancer, hence why they feel it is not only hormone driven but also genetic. Really our way of life is not conducive to longevity…and yet the medical journals say we are living longer than our ancestors? Seriously confusing!
I can’t wait for thaw and spring! It’s going to be so nice to get outdoors for longer periods and then just sit in the sun and warm my achy old bones! I’ll have to get a net to throw over Jenna though…she tends to start speeding around the yard and she’s hard to catch! I think she’d pass up the bunnies if they were running around out there with her!
Best take care of yourself Lizzie, we like you around here and don’t want you going away! (((((hugs)))))
hehe! No worries, sweetpea. I’m determined to keep up these changes for the better!
I’m sort of a freak of nature… if it gets above about 68 I start sweating like a horse. For some reason I just radiate heat like a furnace, or a little coal as Stan calls it. I’m great to snuggle with in the winter time because I heat up the sheets lol.
I’ve been like that my whole life. When I was little I always had trouble sleeping because I was so hot all the time. When I got a little older, I got my thyroid checked to make sure it wasn’t overactive, but it was normal.
I suspect my anxiety disorder makes me hot all the time. I have so much adrenaline from being anxious that it keeps me warm. It gets much better when I exercise, so that’s been helping lately.
: D
my anxiety disorder makes me hot all the time.
I have the same problem. It’s awful in the summer!!!
But winter is wonderful!!
Although today was a bit much… I just got back from a walk and looked at the weather report. Turns out it’s 6°F and “feels like” -1°
Brb, gonna go look in the mirror to make sure my face is still here.

We are living longer, but that doesn’t mean our quality of life is very good in our more advanced years. Many people are kept alive, living in nursing homes when they would have most likely died before that if it was a few generations ago. It’s sad really. People should be putting more effort into living a healthy lifestyle so they can (hopefully) have a better quality of life in their old age. That being said, I really need to start exercising again. We have a full size eliptical in the basement and I never use it. ![]()
I have a Treadmill in mine full of dust…gotta get on that!!!
oooooooooh I wish we had an elliptical! I used to use them all the time in our college gym. Of course we have neither the money nor the room for one = D
I am writing a ‘living will’ to be sure that doesn’t happen to me. If I am so ill that I could only be kept alive by machines, I don’t want to be here.
Although I do believe that when it’s my time, it’s my time…I doubt any earthly effort will keep me here when I get that call. *nods*
I guess I must be losing some weight, because I pulled out some pants that were too tight for me a few months ago and they are baggy on me now.
That’s a great feeling!
Back to the topic…holy cow am I seeing BUNNY TRACKS. Everywhere! 0_o When I go out to walk Jenna at night there’s half a dozen new prints. I just wish I could actually SEE one! (not that we have good enough light yet to get a decent pic…boo!)

We got ours from a used exercise equipment store. They even let us trade in our treadmill and they knocked $200 off. So it ended up being $800, I think. And this isn’t one of the cheapie ones, this is one that retails for around $3000. Not quite gym quality, but full-sized like the ones at the gym.
Oh nice! I’m hoping to have an elliptical one day… in the meantime, our apartment complex has a gym that I don’t use. Wee!
MzM, I too have a Living Will, and I totally agree with you. The guy who drew it up is a family friend and apparently his grandfather was in a coma but had no Living Will and it was heartbreaking for the family to see him like that.
So, as Jane Eyre says, let’s just “keep well and not die” : D
Elliptical is my favorite machine!
I don’t like the dreadmill.. I have bad feet and it hurts my footsies
I see people holding onto the front of the treadmill and think… that isn’t the right way to use it o_O People just don’t walk naturally LIKE that!!!
My apartment gym still hasn’t opened yet
*sigh*
Britt, when I first started physical therapy for my knee and I had to walk on a treadmill, I had to hang onto the treadmill
when you’re not used to walking on one, you feel waaay off balance and need to grab on. the constant speed was weird, as I am used to be being able to slow down or speed up as my knee allows me to ![]()
annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd I will not be swimming in the water around your house if I ever come visit…sheesh!!!!
nice pics tho
hehe!!
Why, because it’s frozen?
lol
