  Monty was abandoned at an industrial mill last summer. He survived for two weeks avoiding semi trucks and coyotes before being caught and coming home with me.
  
  He was really thin but otherwise healthy. Pics from the second week we had him:

  Thank you! I’d never seen a rabbit with ears like his either! He’s such a happy go lucky bunny. Even after those awful two weeks he was flopping and binkying after only a couple hours of being caught and home.

  He is such a beautiful colour! We don’t get to see too many English lops on here so be prepared for lots of prodding for photos of Monty.
  
  I can’t believe he was abandoned! They take special care with those ears. He could have ended up in a bad way. I’m happy to read he’s safe now.
  
  I just read your thread in the Welcome section. I think I remember Dexter and Penny! Those were the 2 you had when you were a member before?

  Jersey- Yes! I had Dexter and Penny when I was a member before. I don’t know how wanting to adopt a single rabbit turned into four >.>
  
  At first I thought he was a lost pet but there are only a handful of houses near where we found him. My husband and I knocked on doors, put up posters, craigslist ads, etc… And no one claimed him. Unfortunately a lot of pets are abandoned in that area.

  Oh wow! He is beautiful! I’m bun napping him, it’s official. I’m English, therefore the English lop is mine!! we live in Australia though….but for those ears ill pay the air fare for him plenty of photos please, glad he is in a safe place now!

  Monty is gorgeous!! AND I LOVE THOSE EARS! I will definitely be one of those ones poking and prodding you for pictures. I LOVE English Lops!

  He’s so gorgeous and he looks so much happier now then when he was abandoned. I love seeing a rabbit blossom so fully like that even if it’s just in pictures

  Do you have an idea of how old Monty might be? I’m curious if his colouring might change. At the moment it looks like the frosted pearl rabbits. But he has the “tan” pattern- white belly, around eyes, nose and white under tail I’m guessing. i.e. Like agoutis, chinchillas and otter bunnies.

  Jersey – Our vet says he’s full grown now and guesses he’s on the younger adulthood side. His coat has definitely changed since we found him. He had splotches of the darker color but now it’s a lot more prominent and even. Googling all the different colorings he does look the most like the frosted pearl rabbits right now. Cool! I guess we’ll see if it changes more
