My short term disability extension FINALLY got approved on Wednesday.  So I should be getting a check with back pay by Tuesday next week.  Thank God!    My rep at work and myself still don’t know what the hell the problem was.  But I’m approved through the end of the month.  I will have to update it but I will be going back to my surgeon on Dec 23rd and will be giving them the info to update my medical stuff with Metlife.  Hopefully it won’t take them another month and a half to decide whether to approve me or not.     I am so relieved right now.

Yes, my rep at work basically got nasty with them on Wednesday I guess. She said she doesn’t like doing that but that’s what it took basically I guess. Stupid insurance companies. lol

yea! I know you must be so relieved to get it settled for the most part. People are strange. When I worked at the Farm Bureau, the insurance department was across the hall and they had one lady who was always getting her paper work screwed up, always out sick, etc. After she was let go they found a whole drawer full of papers that she just kept shoving in there so she didn’t have to deal with them.

I guess sometimes they forget there’s a real person behind the paperwork who depends on them doing their job ;-( or they’re just lazy

Binkies! What a relief for you. I’m happy your rep got some results. You having to deal with that at this time was no good.

LOL Naw, Mom’s gotta spend most of it on rent so Lolli has a place to live. haha I do really want to get her that tunnel or another castle, but we’ll see. I have lots of bills to catch up on.

Also, I guess my primary physician thinks I’m permanently disabled, so Metlife has sent out paperwork for long term disability. And I guess I will be applying for social security as well. I’m just a bit unsure cause I don’t know what is going to happen, etc. Like if it’s the best decision for me. I don’t know. My mom is going to talk to my uncle sometime probably after the holidays about it all.

I do get extremely uncomfortable in my left leg. I used to get it when I’d sit in a chair for a long time but since the surgery, it’s happening even when I lay down. It might just be something that will go away as my spine heals or it might not. I go see my surgeon on the 23rd and will definitely be letting him know about it. Sigh. I guess I was hoping it would work out like my neck surgery did. Once I had the surgery, the pain, numbness and tingling down my arms went away except for when my head was in certain positions. I was able to go back to work and everything. My lower spine isn’t turning out the same way. Oh well. One day at a time. lol
