Miss Kitty Joined my family and no one is happy

I went out with CADS to do duck resuce and protest over the weekend.  Got up at 5am and headed out to a wet land, decided to go to a different one as no one was at the first one.  i was minding the cars when i hear this little meow, so there I am at 6.20am, being eaten by mozzies the size of rabbits crawling under a bush trying to convince a little kitten that she needs to let me grab her.  Finally i do and i end up with a kitten (yes only i could go on a duck resuce and bring home a cat!)  Turns out the guys told the local council yesterday about the kittens and they believe that they got them all but must have missed one.  So a quick nap down my jumper to warm up, a friendly person who had cat food in their car for a quick snack, home via KMart to pick up things like, a carry box, bed, litter tray, collar, food, milk etc.. and i now have Miss Kitty.

Now Nell one of my dogs is just amazed by her, Mac the other one I am going to have to watch (this is from years of being beaten up by my parents cats) the rabbits however are scared of her and she them.  So we will do intro very slowly and get everyone use to everyone and no one being left alone by themselves without me.

Do slow intros with the buns, bunny or cat in carrier, other critter outside it to sniff. Get them used to each others scents and the sight of them nearby, without the danger of ouchies.

Yeah I figure that is the best way, as my rabbits have the computer room i figure that she can spend time on my lap when they are out and time on the ground if they are in their cage and we will work from there.

I would get her an appointment with the vet asap so you can be sure she didn’t catch anything outside, and is in good health. She looks it, but you don’t want her to bring home anythIng to the others. (fleas, etc.)

Next to my Griffykins, that has got to be the most beautiful kitten I have ever seen. I ditto the WOW on the eyes, that they strike against the lighter tones in her fur so well is nothing short of genius! 0_o

Congratulations and don’t worry too much about the buns and kitty avoiding each other…I’d be more worried about the dog getting something going on, but my little boy cat is VERY wary of the buns (ever since Fiver ran him off for touching one of his toys) and as a result he stays away from them and doesn’t bother them. Which I think is a plus. It’s my older cat I have to watch because SHE thinks it’s funny to ‘poke’ bunny butts. >.<

Anyway, Miss Kitty is young enough to learn manners it looks like. So I’m sure you’ll get it all sussed. ‘Best she have a healthy respect for the bunnies anyway.

lolz…Now we have 2 cats onboard named “Kitty” in some fashion or other (my Hello Kitty being one of them) …honestly, can’t we all come up with something more imaginative? ^_^

Well, since we have bunnies named Monkey and Moose, you guys could change your kitties’ names to Aardvark and Gecko.

LOL, yeah we did a flea bath and also put a spot on treatment on her to be of the safe side, we could not see any but I hate hate hate fleas so I wanted to make sure there where gone. I do love her eyes and she is such a little independent thing, not shy at all! She woke me up at 5.15am because she wanted NEW water in her water bowl there was nothing wrong with her old water as far as I could tell but she was not happy with it! We have a vet app today to get her checked out.

My BF (who is insanely allergic to cats) and I were watching Animal Planet’s Animal Cops the other day and there was this big rescue of a whole bunch of cats and a couple litters of kittens that were just days old… he thought the kitties were so cute he told me that I should get one! I think he was just kidding but…. if I happen to adopt a kitty one day, he can’t get mad at me!

She looks like my friend Mark’s bengal-mix breed.  The markings are stunning!  I want a kitten SOOO bad, but our 14 year old cat, Lucy will have nothing to do with it.  She is the fairest in our land !!!  You’ll have to tell the stories – they are so fun to watch & interact with when they are young.  ENJOY……..
