So cute! I’m in love with sheep.
Pam, you love sheep too?! You’ll have to help me convince DH that we need to get a couple of sheep when we get chickens.
I do. When I lived in MA a few years back there was a suburban town that had a historic mill that used to make wool yarn, etc. and every year they had a sheep shearing festival that I never missed. Sheep dog herding competitions in a big square green in the center of town. Sheep shearing competitions. Also the Topsfield Fair in MA always had a sheep barn for competing farmers, plus the 4-H kids that raised them. I am certain I was an Irish Shepherd in a past life LOL.
Was in the library last week and found this book:
Title “Living with sheep : everything you need to know to raise your own flock” Author Wooster, Chuck. 636 .3 WOO
Started it, but a book came in that I’d put on hold so returned it to swap. It was all about the basic questions you might have starting your own flock of 1-many sheep. Like how to buy what kind and from whom. Setting up the space. Really basic stuff. You might want to check it out.
