Whenever I have a question about my rabbit, I go straight to this site and I realised that I never actually joined. So here I am, finally registered along with my French Lop who goes by the name of Spock!
He’s currently about 1 year and 5 months old and I’ve had him since December 28, 2012! I got him neutered last Tuesday at the PDSA but unfortunately, due to them being busy and not taking him into surgery till later on in the day, he had to stay in overnight to make sure he came round properly and was eating and pooping just fine. It was an extremely emotional time for me. But I got him back the next day and he bounced back to his normal self of binkying and climbing all over my laptop and changing the t.v channels! He’s also been very good as to not chew his stitches, he instead just licks them!
Before his neuter he used to be extremely hyper and bouncy, and he was always in the mood to “do the do” with my arm or a teddy, but thankfully that’s stopped now after his neuter and even though he’s still bouncy and happy, he’s a lot more calmer and seems more mature which I really like! He also seems more cheeky, it’s very weird haha!
Spock is my first bunny and has introduced me to a lot of knew information and in 2 days I will be getting him a Mini Lop girlfriend called Izzy! I’m hoping they bond great as they are both very kind and loving bunnies and are great with other animals so hopefully they will be great together and fall head over heels for each other!
I decided to get a rabbit as I wanted a pet who was small but entertaining. At first I wanted one that gives lots of cuddles but obviously you can’t really tell what you’ll get from a rabbit until you get one. And even though Spock loves to give cuddles, he gets bored after about 10 – 15 minutes and starts to wriggle and hop off. But he is so entertaining, especially when it comes to binkying and bunching up my bedding and towels in the bathroom!
As you can tell from my rabbit’s name, I am a huge fan of Star Trek and I named him Spock because of his ears, but now that I’ve got him and spent time with him, I’ve realised he is a lot of Spock from Star Trek haha! He has zero emotion in his face and when it comes to getting into places he shouldn’t, he’s very logical as to planning an escape route and also doing it without me even noticing! And I’m constantly watching him, making sure he’s not being cheeky but sometimes he’s so quiet and sly, he manages to get past me and behind the sink before I can stop him!
Anyway, enough about him, now it’s time to see him!
He’s a bit of a poser
This is his angry old man face
He can no longer fit in this house hehe
He used to be so small
