  Piper had a rough start in life. She was found roaming an apartment complex, under weight and injured. So, I took her in and she is blossoming beautifully! She is a sweet girl. She loves to be right next to you. She is crazy about her pellets, loves her hay and has found out what treats are! I am amazed at how resilient these delicate creatures can be. And I am thrilled she has come to trust me so easily.
  
  Piper before (oh I forgot to mention, she showed up on CL a few days before be found in apartment complex. Seems her “owner” dumped her there. This was from the CL listing.

  Wow! What a transformation; I can’t believe what she looked like before. Also, who would have the audacity to post a picture like that? It’s terrible, let alone how horrible it was for her to be in that state. I am so glad she came to you! Piper looks absolutely wonderful now, and she sounds like a sweetheart. Also, great name choice!

  When the listing popped up several of us volunteers called. No answer and no return call (she was giving away the bunny for free). I sent her a text a few days after the listing and she sent a text back with “sorry SOLD!”
  
  Then a few days later who shows up at animal shelter? Poor girl. That picture is heartbreaking. And it boggles my mind how anyone can dump a bunny, let alone a sweet bunny. She always comes right over to me when I lay down on the floor. Never once has she shyed away.

  She sure cleans up well Very cute! I love the one ear up, one ear down thing she has. Totoro was dumped too (as a baby), I just don’t understand how someone could do that and just not even care. Thank you for taking care of her!

  Thanks guys, having Piper here is a complete joy. She is precious! I am completely amazed about how many buns come to us so severly neglected. I just took in (fostering) 3 one month bunnies that have hair loss and are a mess! We have no idea what conditions they were kept in or where the mom and dad are (working on that). I will post pics of them. So sad, but at least they are safe now and eating their hearts out!
