Hi everyone!
My name is Kristen and my bunny is a white lionhead (I think she’s a mix, but don’t know for sure) named Pearl.
I have been lurking the forums learning as much as I can about bunnies since I got pearl in July 2013 and recently decided to join in the fun.
Rabbit names: Pearl
Rabbit Age: 8 months, 3 weeks (not exactly sure, she was a gift from a friend who insists she was three weeks old when he got her which seems very young to me)
How long has your bunny been with you? 8 months
Spayed/Neutered? She was spayed in either Oct/Nov 2013
Rabbit Personality Traits (Calm, Diva, Naughty, Feisty, Sweet etc) FEISTY for sure! Pearl has a definite personality and is either a temperamental teenager or sort of a bossy broad, I’m not sure yet. As a baby she was pretty docile and I was pretty ignorant about bunnies, so I handled her a LOT. As she’s gotten older (and bigger) she has let me know in no uncertain terms that I am NOT to put my hands into the wabbitat (unfair, since she has free run of all of my living areas hahaha) and that I am not to sit or have any of my body parts in her way, and that if I try to redirect her shell make a little growl at me. She is also very sweet and entertaining, and VERY energetic. She loves racing around my living room and up and downstairs as if she is after some Olympic Gold, as well as hopping up and down constantly from the couch and chairs. Her favorite hang outs are on the bathroom heater grate and under the dining room table.
Are you new to rabbits or have you been a bunny slave for a long while now? Pearl is my very first bunny and really the first pet I’ve been solely responsible for (first pet of my adult life although I had rats and gerbils and a dog as a kid).
What made you choose to have a rabbit companion in your life? Honestly? Some VERY cute bunny pictures on Instagram.
Aside from my consuming interest in bunnies for the past eight months, I am also interested in fashion, dance, psychology, interior design, film. And I love to read and listen to hip-hop and pop music. However don’t ask me about any music that’s current because pearl prefers it silent/quiet around here :p
