I wanted to introduce my two bunnies Harley and Thumper. I adopted both of them from the local shelter last November and they’ve been slowly getting used to living with me ever since.
Harley was 6 or 8 months old when I got him and when I went to look at the bunnies that were available I took one look at him and knew I was going to adopt him. Harley is a little skittish but still comes to me when I open the treat bag and proceeds to beg.

Before adopting Harley, I had done my homework and knew that I needed to get Harley a friend. After speed dating with a few different bunnies Thumper (Baby at the time) was the lucky winner. Thumper was not given her name, she earned it. if she’s not happy, THUMP! if you laugh about her thumping, THUMP! When I failed to get her back in her cage, THUMP! now that’s she’s mostly settled in she loves to be pet and will tooth purr constantly but still doesn’t come to get her treats.

When I got them I didn’t have any blankets to put on the plastic cage floor so I made what I assume to be a classic mistake and used hay instead. I figured there would be no chance of them running out of hay. I guess I got really lucky, they were bonded two weeks after I got them from the shelter. 1 week of cage swapping and then a week of meeting in a neutral space / going for a car ride. I’m not sure who is the dominant one since Harley does all of the grooming and occasional humping / chasing.
