Hello everyone! I’m a somewhat new rabbit owner (had him about a month- been doing steady research every day!) to a delightful little fuzzball named Ember. He was found on the side of the road on April 17, 2021, and in a shelter for a month before I adopted him. They told me he was 8-9 months, but when I took him to the vet, she said he might be 4-5 months! He’s gotten a little bigger since then, so I’ve taken her word. He loves his romaine, carrots, and hay. He LOVES snacks, and I found a new carrot snack full of nutrients that he just adores (he gets 1-2 per day as recommended). He loves papaya tablets but NOT papaya- I think he thinks it smells weird. I’m still trying to figure out what breed he is- but I think (80%) he’s a hotot dwarf mix. Regardless, he’s cute as can be, and doesn’t like being picked up, but loves kisses and pets on the bridge of his nose.  I’m just new and always looking for advice so I can make sure he lives a long, happy life!

Oh Ember really is cute as a button!! I am no good at bunny breeds, but he does look like a hotot mix based on that eye make up! Congrats on your fuzzy little one!

How big is he? He looks like a Nethie in the picture. He could have dwarf hotot in him or he could be a Charlie (two copies of the broken gene – the broken gene has been introduced into a lot of breeds including Nethies).
