  For a while now I had been concidering helping the rescue I got Abby from by fostering since they have around 50 rabbits right now and not enough foster homes. Then my whole family was sick and that was put on hold. Well, this little girl stole our hearts. She was being kept at the dog kennel/pet store that they work at in the condo I built for them and she was terrified. Wouldn’t leave her littlerbox even after I put a rug in there for her and she was getting filthy from sitting in it. So we decided now was the time.
  
  Ember came home last night. She is an 8 lb Standard Rex. She’s not over weight but she must have been at some point in her life. She has a HUGE dewlap for her size! I made her a pen from nic grids. It’s about 4’x6′. She was so happy to be able to walk around again and binkied in it all night long. She got a good grooming tonight where I removed a lot of dirty fur and then I clipped her nails. I can’t even clip Abby’s! She such a sweet little girl. She follows you around for pets and just snuggles on you when you hold her.

  Awh I’m glad you took her in. Are you fostering or adopting? I first thought you meant fostering and now I’m unsure.

  Only fostering. I have no plans to try bonding at this point in my life and I am more than happy to only have Abby right now. I’m glad I have the extra room to foster now that we have finished out basement though.

  Understandable. I think it’s great when people can foster. Personally, I get too attached to even pet sit another rabbit. haha

  Awhhh she is pretty! She must be so happy to have all that room now What rescue are you working with? (I’m in WI too but I volunteer at DCHS). She is so lucky to have you to give her a foster home!

  LoveChaCha: Yes, she is chinchilla colored. It doesn’t show well in the pictures but close up her fur almost looks marbled.
  
  Bunnyfriend: I’m working with K&R Small Animal Sanctuary. They are based in the Oshkosh & Fox Valley area but they have foster homes spread throughout WI.

  I though I’d add a few new pictures. Ember is settling in nicely. She sweet, spunky, always on the go and loves attention. Here is what she does when she came out to play tonight. =)

  Sam & Lady’s Human – Abby and Ember do not like each other. We let Abby downstairs while Ember was in her pen and they were fighting through the bars. Abby has started digging at the door to get down now. She’s also VERY jealous and makes us snuggle and pet her even more! =) Other than that they are perfectly fine with it.
  
  Mocha – The girls love her. My oldest seems to be very drawn to her.
  
  LPT – They remember when Rhinelander got adopted and they were prepared this time that she was only staying until she finds her forever home. They may be sad when that time comes but at the same time they love knowing that they are helping a bunny that doesn’t have a home.
