This is our new bunny Bimbo…Had him for about 3 months now..He is our first rabbit , I had guinea pigs when I was younger , but mainly dogs since then…He has been a pretty good bunny , likes to run around and get into everything!!…Spends his time indoors chasing down the cat , or outdoors in his “Bimbo Babe Lair” as I call it , that we had our brother in law build..He has normal problems , likes to pee on me when Im laying down in bed , I think he mainly just wants to get on the bed and pee , he doesnt pee on me anywhere else , at least not yet..Made the mistake of trying to train him by slapping his butt to get off the bed and he proceeded to bite me the two times I did…once in the face , drawing blood..I read that bunnies always remember stuff like that and can become aggressive , so a good thump next to him and a loud NO works for about 10 seconds until he jumps back on…Going to try a squirt bottle soon…But other than that , its been fun seeing him jump around , run like lightning , and then sprawl out like a model when hes done…

He’s very cute. Yes you never want to strike a rabbit, it can make them lose trust in you. The reason he is peeing on the bed is because he is marking it, it’s perfectly normal since the smell of you is so strong on there. Neutering him may make that behavior go down enough to allow you to train him. He looks like he is still quite young. When he raises his tail to pee, pick him up and place him in his litter box. It is hard to stop a rabbit from marking until they are altered though.

Thank you..he will mainly go in his nighttime cage , even when running through the house , except for a few random pelllets…he just likes to repeatedly jump on the bed and i usually scoot him off , but they are sneaky!!…so I usually just close the door to the room and put his cage in the living room open on the floor and things are fine…I probably need to raise my bed higher off the floor so he can’t jump up…

Rabbits can jump pretty high, it’s hard to keep them off that way. There are a few ways of keeping buns off the bed though, you could attach a baby gate with a door you can open to get on then close to keep him off. Or some blankets piled up to “look” like a wall is enough for my buns. Cardboard boxes if you aren’t on the bed. Or NIC / baby gate/xpen off the bed area so he can’t get near enough to the bed to jump up, etc. Some buns dislike things that crinkle when they jump on them, so some people line their furniture with crinkly paper and such so they spook themselves off as soon as they touch it.

I’ll Prolly have to try that paper one….he flew outta the room the other day i shook the newspaper!!…lol…wonder if that doublesided tape my mom used.to keep her cat off her furniture , would also discourage him??…ill see how this spray bottle works for now…they seem like.very persistent animals…the more I take him off the bed , the quicker he gets back up…

I wouldn’t use tape, their fur and skin is very sensitive and it may cause injuries, plus you don’t want them ingesting the glue. My mini rex came to me with sticker glue stuck to her fur and we had to have the vet shave her, poor thing.

Would you consider bringing your rabbit inside all of the time? Hutches can be dangerous for rabbits; even though they are technically protected from predators, rabbits can die from fright if a predator attacks their cage, from bad weather (i.e. thunderstorms), or just loud noises. You said you’ve had your rabbit for 3 months now; is he neutered yet? That’ll definitely help with the peeing issues, like Stickerbunny said.

Ya I Prolly wouldn’t use the tape , I got reminded of how my mom use it to keep her cat off certain stuff…he’s pretty much indoors about 90% of the time…We put him out for a couple hours while we are here , cuz he seems to have fun in his Babe Lair…He’s indoors at night and when we are gone…

And no , haven’t gotten him cut yet…I will soon…but , he’s a really good bunny , except for.when he sneaks past and gets on the bed….

He’s so cute! And I’m sure with a little patience and a lot of love he’ll be a great friend!
