Cas won’t eat Timothy Hay at al. Periodl. He has a long history of stasis issues so getting him eating hay is extremely important.
We’ve tried a few different hays and I would like some opinions.
Orchard grass gives him terrible gas to the point where he just sits grinding his teeth all day, but the alfalfa and oat hays he both likes and his stomach tolerates.
Any other hays I should try?
And which would be better for long term feeding Alfalfa or Oat hay.

Oat hay is fine, and it would be better than alfalfa long term, so I’d stick with oat hay is he likes it

Tessie is right. Oat hay is a grass hay and fine for everyday hay.

Oxbow has an organic meadow hay that is popular with many rabbits.

KMS has bluegrass hay. I heard botanical hay is pretty popular too which can be found in most pet stores that sell hay by Oxbow.

Liebchen is a pretty picky hay eater, too. Her favorites seem to be the Mature Oat Hay from Binky Bunny’s store and Oxbow’s Organic Meadow Hay. She also likes the Bluegrass mixture from Binky Bunny, but not all the time – sometimes she’ll devour it, sometimes she’ll give me a look as if to say “You expect me to eat THAT?”
