So luna has been doing great, I got her when she was maybe 1 month old she was the size of my first at the time.

Several months have passed and she seems to be growing well. Shes gotten much larger, she seems happy and has been eating well.

I give her a bowl of pellets and hay twice a day and always make sure she has water and chewing toys.

I haven’t introduced any greens to her yet but I wanted to ask what I should start with?

I wish I had a bigger cage for her because she is getting bigger and she seems to just lie down in one corner of the cage and use the bathroom in the other end I feel bad.

Whats the proper age to have her spayed how do i tell if i don’t know her exact age? She doesn’t really act reckless or out of control she just likes to chew her little heart out (she ruined my molding…).

My other rabbit however was very out of control and crazy when she started to mature but my girlfriend has her now and lets her free roam the house because that’s her only pet.

Sounds like she is doing well.. Just make sure she has hay available 24/7, it might stop some of the chewing too… A good sized cage is important especially if exercise time is limited.. If she likes a good chew you could give her a phone book or kebab toy, also the Bunny Blast Yucca chew is a big hit with my buns.
Now would be a good time to start greens, coriander (cilantro) is a popular one, also basil, Cos lettuce (Romaine) and Parsley.
If you go to the diet section on the home page and work your way through there is a very good veg list from the house rabbit society… Start with one only at first and add a new one each week… This will allow you to identify anything that causes stomach upset… Eventually you will have built up a menu from which you can select a mix of 3-4 greens for each meal.

You may need to think about a bigger enclosure-even the biggest commercially available rabbit cages are just too small; I’m not sure your set up, but the cage should be *at least* four times as big as your rabbit is laying down and stretched out, and big enough for them to stand up on their hind legs-if it’s just about that size and she gets at least four hours of out time a day then it’s suitable. IF not, check out the habitats section and forum on this site-you can easily make a big enclosure for your rabbit

She can spayed at 4-6 months, your vet will advise if you call to see what he/she prefers.

You can definitely start vegetables now, the sooner the better. I would try lettuce first-I really the mixed spring greens-they are available in almost all super markets and have about five different kinds of leaves so they are really balanced and easy to give. Pasley and Cilantro like Roberta suggested are good first veggies too!

I would hold off on carrots/fruit at first, you want her to like vegetables and leafy greens before you let her develop a sweet tooth
