My eight year old mini lop rabbit has a lump just under her tail near her bum. When I feel if it almost feels like there are things moving inside. She is acting normal and has not long finished antibiotics for a bladder infection when she was peeing blood.

Get her checked out by a vet ASAP please!
A rabbit’s bottom is a popular place for insects to lay their eggs. If they hatch the larvae will cause horrible infections which are nearly always fatal

Have you managed to get in to see a vet? I agree that if it feels like there are things moving inside then she could have fly strike which is very serious. Hopefully it’s nothing too serious though. Let us know what the vet says.

It’s feels more like rabbit poo sized (the only way I can describe the size) balls under the skin which I can move around when I touch the lump.

I would def get that checked out. Lumps under the skin could be parasites, like others mentioned, cysts. abscesses or tumors.

Is it right next to the genital area? It could be a clogged scent gland.

It’s just underneath the tail and a little to the left side

Several experienced rabbit owners have adviced you to go to a vet ASAP, especially because you mentioned that it feels like something is moving inside.

That is a sign of flystrike, which is extremely painful to the rabbit. It could also be one of the other illnesses mentioned in this topic.

It’s been 2 days now, have you contacted the vet yet? If not, why?

Rabbits are prey animals who will hide pain and discomfort right up until the end is near. Your rabbit could very well be suffering, don’t wait until you see other symptoms because it can be too late.

Get that rabbit to a vet ASAP!
