Our not-yet-neutered-due-to-abnormal-blood-work 7 month old Netherland Dwarf really enjoys sprawling out in his litter box. He really likes to do it right after using the litter box, which in turn makes him smell kinda gross. He has to have wipe downs (room temp water on a wash cloth) if we catch him and he smells. Sometimes he will mark and sprawl in that too, which is even more gross. Why is he doing this? Does he like being a smelly fluff ball? Is it normal?

          Yeah, it’s normal.

This is fine, as long as you keep the litterbox changed regularly. I don’t think that there’s a way to stop him from lounging in his litterbox… my bun does that, too. It’s completely normal; most bunnies think of their litterbox as a “hangout” place as well as a bathroom.

Without a doubt Ralph’s favourite hangout!
