My sister told me about something she saw on Twitter, about Loreal using poor rabbits for testing and they didn’t have fur and they were all red and in horrible care, if anyone could look more into this, I will do some research myself. She didn’t get the link but she’ll try to find it again. Maybe we could put a stop to this?! It’s so sad DONT BUY LOREAL

I’m going to move this post to “The Lounge” Forum since that’s the more appropriate place for it.

L’Oreal states that they do not test their products on animals but the ingredients in the products are tested only on animals when there is no alternative.

It’s a very sad fact that most of the big name cosmetics and cleaning brands do test on animals. I have boycotted all of these products. A great resource for anyone looking for alternative cruelty free products should check out The Leaping Bunny website. They are also on Facebook.

Oh I threw out all my l’oreol cuz of that.  Wont buy it again.  I use as much cruelty free as I can affordably use.   which is quite a bit actually.  I know their are brands of makeup and shampoo that don’t test.  plus razor brands etc.

PETA has info on that too.        I think the link you were already given must be good.  I never heard of it before so I will go look into it.  Sounds like a good link

Yep, companies do horrible things to bunnies and other animals. For much of it, it is completely unnecessary. Unfortunately, there isn’t much we can do if people keep buying the products. Seems a lot of people are completely oblivious though. I was telling my co-worker about it (she owns a bunny) and she was completely horrified. At first she didn’t believe me!

Leaping Bunny is an excellent resource. They have a great list of products not tested on animals. Don’t believe what the packaging says. Not tested on animals can simply refer to the final product and does not include the individual ingredients.

I will check out the website!! Thanks so much! It breaks my heartso much to know that they’d do that to rabbits. All of this animal testing has really opened my eyes!

I tend not to buy any big name brands, I don’t trust them. Skin care…just slather on coconut oil. Or I buy natural products, from companies that always mention they do not test on animals.
I’m also a huge beagle fan, and the things they do to beagles…it’s horrible. They’re the sweetest dogs, and they’re the ones they do a lot of testing on…they live years in cages never even seeing grass. Then they just kill them when they’re done. The organizations I support help rescue the dogs so they can enjoy their freedom. They also rescue bunnies! (beagle freedom project, and beagle rescue league)
