I’ve never been able to see the molars unless I’m looking at an x-ray. And I’ve read that only a vet should.
I know the vet uses this long gadget with a light to check around. And when I asked her if you can just see them by opening up, she says it’s not a good idea to do it that way.   I don’t remember the specifics as to why etc. I just remember her saying something about the bones in the mouth and jaw can be fragile.  (but that could have been because Rucy had so many surgeries with part of her jaw bone removed, and maybe her answer was only specific to my situation.

          I’ll ask her next time.
