Yep, we found out we were expecting! Does anyone have experience with having a baby and a rabbit in the same house? I need all of the info possible haha.

        And of course, Lola pictures!

        ^ Her curious face.

^ The door WAS open, she’s just weird and likes to chill in there. lol Oh and this was from today, you can kind of see how her ears are standing up almost completely now. Sad I’m going to miss those floppy ears.

I also weighed her today and she just a 6lbs.

How did she get pregnant? I would keep her away from the buck if he is near.
Also, I would begin transitioning her into a pellet diet that does not contain nuts or colored things. It can really hurt a bunny’s gastrointestinal tract
You will need to keep your bunny with her babies until they are about 8 weeks, and they will be weaned from mommy. Do you plan on getting her spayed?

She isn’t pregnant, I am haha. She’s never been near a male rabbit. That thing she was eating was a treat (we don’t buy em anymore, It was messing with her poops) but she’s on a hay and veggie diet.

Congratulations! I don’t think you need to worry about rabbits and babies – especially newborns…maybe when the baby is older, he/she might be curious about bunny, but nothing to worry about for the baby.

Congrats! Your bunny is so cute! And yes, I would stay away from those nut/seed treats that are marketed to rabbits. They are no good. Glad you don’t buy them anymore.

I am not experienced with babies and bunnies so I can’t offer my help. Just thought I’d say congrats. Must be exciting! =)

Congrats!!! I agree with Sarita that there’s probably no worry at all for a baby – it’s the 2 year olds I’d be watching out for around a bunny 😉

                            They say having a rabbit is like having a perpetual 3-year old……… that’s all I got .

Oh my goodness, Equalsign you are very correct! I’m constantly going behind Lola, redirecting her is all I do it feels like haha. I don’t mind though, but it does feel like having a 2 year old.

Thanks everyone! I’m not too worried about the newborn stage, but after the first year I have a feeling I’ll be redirecting baby from loving on the baby too much.. I don’t want a smushed rabbit. lol
