My local pet shop has had two lion head bunnies in there for nearly 3 months with a price tag of 150 pounds and they are kept in a tiny cage together. I think pet shops should be banned from selling rabbits when there are so many in rescue and there is no need for people to be breeding rabbits for the pet trade because for one, there is no money in it and two the rabbits are just going to be stuck in a tiny cage in a pet store or even worse be bought by somebody who doesn’t know how to take care of the rabbit then it ending up in a rescue center further down.

I can understand breeders breeding rare breeds of rabbit that will go to loving “forever homes” but these breeds the pet shops have are very common and can be bought for a sub 20 pounds online or even free in some cases. Nobody is going to be paying 150 pounds for a common lion head when there are plenty online and too many in rescue centers. Where does it end?
