Hello, my 6-month old bunny had the tiniest bit of mucus(?) in her poop today, a picture attached below. I’m not exactly sure if this is mucus or something else, it is clear-ish and jelly-like. A couple of days ago, she also had the smallest bit of mucus in her poop, even less than the one in the picture. Apart from those two instances, she has been pooping normally, laying down normally, exercising, and generally eating normally (although today I did not notice her eating as much as she typically does).

Is this something to be concerned about? She is going to be taken to the vet to get spayed in 6 days, is this an urgent issue or can it wait to brought up to the vet then?

        Thank you.

A little bit if mucus can come from irritation of the intestinal lining. The beads-on-a-string poop means there’s a bit of gut slowdown. This could be due to excessive ingestion of hair and its common when a bun is molting. It is molting-season now and it’s good if you can brush your bun to get loose hair off.

I’d just keep an eye, have some gas drops on hand in case the bun gets gassy, and if things dont get worse these next few days, just mention it to the vet when you take her in for the spay.
