Hello Katie,
Looks like you just posted this so I’ll start and let the others fill in the blanks
The bunnies mostly train themselves. Get a litter box and put some sort of absorbent shredded paper or Yesterday’s News or pellet bedding, then put the hay in over that and let them munch and poop at the same time. It’s going to be nearly impossible to totally train him until he’s neutered though. He will undoubtedly drop poops around and may get into spraying urine and such but I would definitely figure on him dropping poops around till he’s neutered, then he will be much better. I wouldn’t let him have too much running space till he’s had his surgery unless you can easily clean. Them he will hopefully use the litter box all the time. Mine just has one (ok 2) in the basement, but he’s got a big bladder and holds it when he’s upstairs. I don’t know about smaller bunnies.
Oh, I’m sure he will chew. It’s what they do, and your folks will NOT be happy. I found my guy chewing off wallpaper today and quickly got out a glue stick for repairs, but a good deal had already gone down the hatch. You learn to hope the other humans don’t notice!
And you’ll want to read up on bunny proofing especially electric cords because that’s a fire hazard
Good luck! Fun fun!
