My 12 yr old daughter has been using bedding (repurposed newspaper) in our rabbit’s litter box.  I wanted to switch to real litter so I bought eco-friendly wheat pellets.  But the rabbit is eating the pellets.  Will he eventually start pooping & peeing in it & stop eating the pellets?

That’s hard to say! He likely will still keep nibbling at them as it’s easy fibre for him. It’s not necessarily harmful but it may stop him from eating as much hay and they need that chewing action to help keep the teeth worn down.
You will likely need to use a screen over the litter to prevent him eating it.

Did you switch to this litter because he was not using the previous material as a toilet? Is your daughter using any other type bedding for the rest of his habitat?
