Hi there,
I have a young bunny that I have fostered for the local shelter, before she is old enough to be spayed. She is probably about 10 weeks old.
I have had 2 house bunnies before but acquired them at older ages, so no experience with < 6months old.
This bunny “Bloo” lives in a large indoor cage, in my bedroom, with x3 playtimes morning, noon and evening.
She uses her litter tray brilliantly in her cage, but drops pills all over my bed, although not on the carpet.
Yesterday she peed on my bed (I politely returned her to her cage, washed all the covers to remove the scent etc). Today she’s had less playtime and I’ve watched her like a hawk. She didn’t pee but kept dropping pills (6 in about 6 seconds!) on my bed.
I wonder if the dropping of pills are related to her establishing ownership of my bed as her own..? In which case, I’m not addressing the issue and she might pee again.
I could ban her from the bed if I have to? I could continue removing the pills and hoping the habit goes away as she grows up?
Any advice?
Ta
