  Hi everyone. I apologize for asking about littler, since I know it is a pretty prolific topic on here, but I haven’t found the direct advice that I’ve been looking for just yet. I have been experimenting with litters over the past few months to find the one that works best for both Olaf and myself. Ideally, I would like it to be absorbent, have excellent odor-control, and not be too strongly scented on it’s own.
  
  Yesterday’s News: I liked the price and scent-free nature of the product, but it didn’t seem to absorb very well.
  
  Aspen Supreme pellets: Really adored the absorbency but it had a really strong, woodsy scent that overwhelmed my small apartment.
  
  I would like to try Feline Pine but have been told it used to be good, but the new formula isn’t as absorbent? Bunny-safe wood pellets have been highly suggested as well, but my only local store carries 40 lb. bags and without a car I am not able to transport it home.
  
  Any suggestions and advice of your personal litter choices would be SO helpful! Thank you.

  I have been experimenting with different litter combos myself… I currently line her litter box with puppy pad (makes litter changing easier), then use aspen supreme pellets (great with odor control but I actually happen to like that woodsy smell), carefresh on top, then a bunch of hay. I have tried aspen wood shavings instead of the pellets because I do not like how the pellets turn into saw dust… I change her litter box 2x a day. In the morning I change the whole box but before bed I like to scoop out just the urinated and large poopy areas. The pellets are really hard for me to scoop up well so that’s why I tried the aspen shavings but I realized that the shavings do not absorb at all. I have heard that wood stove pellets work really well too but I personally haven’t tried them yet. I would assume it is pretty similar to the aspen pellets maybe less of that woodsy scent? I have tried Care fresh by itself and then lined the bottom of her litter pan with newspaper. It held up pretty well actually. They claim 10 day odor control. It was not very absorbent on it’s own but it doesn’t do a horrible job either.
