Today I noticed that I was running out of the wood pellets I used for litter. So I looked online for some more (I got the first bags at nofrills then they stopped carrying them). There where no good ones online and then I thought to myself “should I use a different litter?”

What do you guys use for litter? And if you use wood pellets what brand do you use? Are there some types of litter that are easy to find and work well that you use?

        Thanks!

Luna uses the Carefresh paper bedding. I tried to switch her to the less expensive wood pellets, but she kept eating them. The rescue I volunteer at uses wood pellets and they work really well. A lot of other members here also use them.

I use wood pellets. They’re really good at absorbing both smell/pee. It’s more practical as well because the wood expands when wet, so I just replace those selected areas with fresh litter instead of discarding the whole box of litter.

If your bun eats the wood pellets like Luna does, then paper bedding or hay are some other things that people use. My litter box has a grille on top so Kurotta doesn’t get the chance to munch on any litter underneath.

Edit: Just read your post again and saw that you were actually using wood pellets previously Unfortunately I’m not sure what brands are there in your area so can’t be of much help there :/

I use paper based pellets, a brand called Back2Nature. I tried wood pellets, and they refused to use them and kept peeing on the floor instead… such divas.
