  I am LHS, I’m 22 and I’m from Lyon (France). I came here because I thought this website seemed friendly – and I hope it really is ! -, but also because I find interesting to learn new things thanks to different point of views, related to different cultures (as I guess there are people from various english-speaking countries here). Obviously, english isn’t my mother tongue, then I apologize for my future grammar mistakes …
  
  Now, let’s talk about the most important : rabbits !
  
  I have a couple composed of Kabu, a neutered male, and Satsuki, a spayed female. Both names are inspired by Miyazaki’s movies (Howl’s moving castle and My neighbour Totoro). Kabu was born in October 2010 and Satsuki a month later.
  Kabu was my birthday gift so he came from a petshop (and was sick …). To describe him in a few words, he’s adorable, friendly and stubborn.
  
  Satsuki came from a rescue center, http://poildecarotte.forumactif.com/ ; I adopted her 1 month and a half ago now, so I can’t say I know her very well yet, but she’s really sweet, friendly and even if she’s still a little shy, it’s getting better everyday.
  
  They started living together 4 days after Satsuki arrived because they immediatly loved each other – I was so lucky !

  I named my bunny after My Neighbor Totoro as well, his name is Totoro

  Bienvenue a BB.com! Votre lapins sont tres jolis! (And that’s about all I can manage of my conversational French although my grandfather spoke it and I studied it all through high school.) It’s always good to see new members here. Especially with bunnies named for Miyazaki characters. (He is a wonderful filmmaker.)
  Am I right in translating your username as ‘The 8 Endives’? (I’m afraid I had to look it up so I’m probably way off.)
  
  Your rabbits are beautiful and how fortunate that their bonding went so quickly. I have two that were bonded but now separated due to illness, but I’d like to get all three together eventually.
  Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy our community. Please post more pictures of Kabu and Satsuki when you can, you’ll find that many of us consider that an unwritten rule of the site.

  MimzMum > Yes, that would be the right translation, but this is actually a joke, a play on words (I think it’s called like that). When you read it in french, it sounds like Lewis Carroll (Alice in Wonderland).

  My husband is from France and I’ve tried to learn French but I have not been successful in learning. Luckily his brother and sister speak English well enough for me to communicate with them.

  I took french for a year and the only thing I remembered how to say was “je voudrais un cafe au lait” And I bet if it hadn’t rhymed I wouldn’t have remembered it.
  I also took a year of German….retained nothing from that…haha
  
  And I know you’ve already heard this…but those buns are so cute! I love Kabu’s fur!
