I got a few lettuce plants from a local greenhouse that’s labeled “green ice lettuce”. Is this the same thing as green leaf lettuce? If not, is it safe for rabbits? (It has ice in the name but it definitely isnt iceberg.)

I also have another question, is boston lettuce safe for rabbits? I was feeding butter lettuce but the store here got rid of it and sells boston lettuce in the same spot now. It looks the same but I wasnt sure if it’s the same as butter lettuce. TIA!

I’m not an expert but I did some research and green ice lettuce appears safe as does Boston lettuce but again I’m not an expert so hopefully more experienced people can help you out.

The only lettuce to avoid is iceberg, so I would go off of the shape and growth form. If it doesn’t look like iceberg, then it should be safe to feed.  My quick googling of “green ice lettuce” does look very similar to “green leaf lettuce” so it’s probably the same or very similar.
