Hi,
I am a little confused… In the last 48 hours Monty has done considerably less poops than usual. However, the poops he has done are large, round and healthy. He is happy, he is eating a lot of cecotropes and this is nothing like the stomach issues we have had with him before. He is eating a little less at the moment, but his appetite is not down (he still wants treats and vegetables and pellets, just less hay!) We had put this down to the rise in temperature (we live in the North of Scotland where it has only just started getting above 20C, but these are high temperatures for the area).
I just wondered… Does warmer weather cause bunnies to poop less? Like I say, he is doing some, just very few, and a lot of cecotropes (all of which are being eaten). I feel completely neurotic because nothing seems wrong, there are NO indications like we have had before when he has felt unwell. So… Any ideas? ?
(Our vets are not open tomorrow. It is a 40 minute drive and it is hot. We are reluctant to do that to him without cause.)
