Just found out about this animal and had to share. A cute animal called a Pika that lives in the mountains of North America. It’s in the lagomorph family, a cousin of the rabbit and the smallest of the rabbit group. They communicate with each other with calls and songs and are described as flower-gathering herbivores (hmmm, sounds like a bunch of hippy rabbits to me, singing and gathering flowers
)
It is sometimes called a “Rock Rabbit” and doesn’t leap as it has short feet.
I’ve never even heard of these animals, they live on the other end of the country. They really don’t look like rabbits, more like hamsters. Anyone out West ever see one?

Unfortunetly, populations are declining, mostly due to global warming. Well, I can’t think of a cuter reason to go green!!
Here’s a video on the Pika’s and Global Warming. It’s worth it, there’s something cute at the very end. Very “squeee” worthy.
