Yesterday I went to Home Depot to get a few tiles for the buns to lay on – it is just starting to creep in to the 80’s here in Denver.

I put a few in their pen and a few under the dining table – their favorite mid-day hang out.

So, what do Kay & Winston do? They lay NEXT to the tiles!

Kay tried pushing them out of the way, but they are too heavy!

I did not think this was going to be so tricky.

Lying next to them also works as the tiles are cool and they’ll still absorb a little heat But, yeah, I note that my buns have some issues with doing what is best for them too.

Too funny! Some of mine won’t lay on their tiles either – really only one of my rabbits gets it – the other just lay next to them too or pee on them.

hmm both my buns don’t really have trouble lying on the tiles but there are times when Floppy lies next to it
and I also wonder why isn’t he lying on it!?!?

I tried putting a frozen bottle in Smudge’s pen, she didn’t like it much but then I read the helpful hint here about putting an old sock over the bottle and she loved it! Until yesterday when she for some reason decided she no longer wanted the bottle around and tore the sock off and pushed the bottle to the other side of her pen even though it was still really hot out and she seemed to like lying next to the sock bottle before. I just don’t know apparently she had a bunny mood swing… or the bottle said something terribly upsetting

Yeah when it was 100 here a few days ago I put the frozen bottle with a thin sock over it and Edson just pushed it away.  Don’t they get it, silly guys????
