  Josie, my most beautiful Halloween Guinea Pig…black back, bright orange belly, Abby coat…. passed away sometime last night.
  
  She was a rescue, so age unsure, but I suspect she was fairly old.
  
  Yesterday was National Pet Day, so they got some extra dandelions, their fave.
  
  It’s good it happened at night, I guess. Gave her sisters, Jaidyn, Jamie and Jemma, time to say goodbye.
  
  Put a silk hydrangea (my first time buying a fake plant, but couldn’t find a real one that would be happy were I buried her) on her spot.
  
  She was the sweetest Pig, my favorite. Yeah, your not supposed to have favorites, but she was special.
  
  Be at peace, my sweet girl.

  Sorry for your loss 🙁 She sounds so unique and beautiful. My piggy Chico passed away probably 8 years ago now and I still think about her often (especially when I open the veggie crisper drawer).

  That’s so sad, I’m sorry for your loss. It’s indeed important that her group members had the chance to say goodbye, and maybe it’s some comfort that she didn’t die alone or in a strange place.
