Japan Members???

Just wanted to check in with our members from Japan. I know we have a few. I hope you and your loved ones are all safe during the crisis your country is dealing with.

The earthquake and tsunami news was the first thing I heard on the radio this morning. It’s so sad…seems these sort of disasters are happening much too frequently lately.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

{{{Vibes}}} What a terrible thing…my friend lives in Japan and I was so upset, but he is apparently far away from it and is doing fine. Not true of so many who live there. What a tragic day. My thoughts and prayers are with Japan, our BB friends who live there, and all those who have family and friends there.

Just heard from a friend on FB there there is one or two more tsunami warnings again. There was a whirlpool someplace off the Japan coast. I’m saddened.

Japan did some things to help – the buildings swayed, but it still caused a lot of damage. They are one of the top countries that prepare, the entire country does drills yearly. I am just happy to hear that the people are okay, and sad for the ones that lost their lives

Yes, it’s still a very sad situation but at least it’s not like the earthquakes in the third-world countries that cannot recover from the devastation. And like you said, Japan is very well prepared for these sorts of things. Still a huge crisis but they have the money and the ability to recover from damage quickly.

They are currently dealing with a power plant crisis and had to evacuate thousands of people. I hope all of those people brought their animal companions as well. The WSPA (world society for the protection of animals) is on standby to help together with Japan’s Animal Welfare Society.
