Yeah! Binky Day!!!
I have to say it, I just love learning bunny language. Just a while ago, Huckles was out in the living room/kitchen area. I was on the couch doing some homework. She came running from the kitchen and hopped up onto the couch with me. She looked a little frantic and kept looking towards the front door. The neighbor kids were outside the aprtment, riding their scooters in front of my door, which is normal. It felt so great that, despite the lack of words, I knew exactly what she was saying. “Mom, do you hear that? Do you hear those people?” I assured her that it was ok and then I got a hard bump followed by a couple of quick soft bumps. I think that meant “Ok, good, I am glad its ok and you aren’t scared. By the way, thanks for the bok choy, it’s yummy!” She had been chewing on some before she heard the noises. Then she hopped around for a bit on the couch, came back for some cuddles, dug at me for paying more attention to my homework, got the cuddles she wanted (and deserves), and then hopped off to clean the a pillow I had been taking a nap on earlier. Bunnies are just so wonderful.
Maybe I never paid as much attention before, but I feel like she speaks to me in a way that none of my other animals ever did.
