Hey all,
My bun Tinkerbell got spayed this past Tuesday, so it hasn’t been a full week yet since her surgery. She’s been biting at her cage occasionally, especially when I open it for a second to give her food and water, and she’ll practically beg to come out. I called my vet to ask them when I can let her roam free, and they said it’ll take two weeks for her to fully heal, and I can start letting her out as long as she’s not jumping on top of things. The room she’s in has two couches that she loves to jump up to, and I don’t think I can block her off from that, seeing as she’s already jumped up twice when I tried to give her medication. Is that OK? I hate feeling like she’s so bored and frustrated in her cage.
She’s finally done with all her meds, and her incision looks very good (no signs of infection or bruising, etc) and fur is starting to grow back. Can I let her out to jump around and play if she’s alright doing so herself? She keeps digging at her cage door trying to open it and I feel so bad.
