Well… I’ve been posting for a short while. I started with the loss of one of our buns – https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tab…fault.aspx
Navi, our most recent addition also had a lump appear on the nape of her neck…
And most recently about our difficulties bonding a pair we now have https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tab…fault.aspx
But, last night, we noticed a change in out boy bun, Link… He just wasn’t himself, so, after work and uni today, straight off to the vets… again…
It turns out that the vet believes he has a problem with E cuniculi.
His eye was looking a little red and he was clearly somewhat uncomfortable.
At first, I thought he may have just got a little hay in his eye, or something to that effect, surely we can’t be that unlucky that there would be yet another thing wrong with yet another rabbit of ours…
But today, he seemed worse… more uncomfortable… and his appetite had diminished somewhat, too.
Turns out to be this E coniculi problem…
Which, is likely to have flared up due to the stress of trying to bond these two buns after Navi’s surgery… … It’s not a happy household at the moment…
So, a ton of meds, baytril, metacam and panacur for now… fairly substantial doses…
*fingers crossed*
Huge vibes to Link and Navi!
Oh that is terrible! I am so sorry that you guys are having such rotten luck. Penelope and I are sending happy, healing vibes to you and your little buns!
Hello! I have been following your threads, and since you have been getting good advice, so have not added anything. However when I read your most recent post… I am so sorry for all you are going through. I am wishing for the best for little Link, as well as Navi. Strength to you and your husband as well. Hugs.
Thanks for all the positivity!
We certainly are keeping our vet on his toes…
He actually did his final year thesis on E cuniculi, even though that was 12 years ago.
And, even though he did his thesis on it, he’d never seen a case caught in such an early stage, which can only be a good thing…
Fingers and paws are crossed for a healthy comeback!
Sending lots of {{{{{vibes}}}}} for Link and for a happier household. Hang in there!
Won’t even accept banana… So, it looks like we’re going to have to start on the Emeprid tonight also…
It feels like we’re going to lose him…
*sigh*
Hang in there… ((Hug))
I’m sorry you are having such difficulties. Sometimes when it rains it pours. I can certainly relate. I dealt with EC with my lop the same weekend I had to put my beloved Stormy down due to cancer.
Don’t give up hope! Hang in there. When Bindi was dealing with EC it was really rough but he recovered! It just requires a lot of work and perseverance.
Life with bunnies can be rough sometimes, but the joy they give us in the good times make it worthwhile.

I could only imagine what you’re are going through… please do not give up hope!
Link be strong for your mommy, little one!. Sending so much hope to you!
I’m so sorry to hear about Link, Squid! <3 Sending him lots of healing vibes.
In other words, sick bunnies are known for sometimes having troubles with their mates. You may get lucky and find him easier to bond afterwards. It could definitely be a cause of so much aggression to Navi.
Keep us updated!
Well, a fair amount of progress from Link in just a day.
Last night, he was binkying and running around the bedroom like nobodies business, he also jumped up on the bed, and he hasn’t done that since before we got Navi.
He also has either taken a significant liking, or disliking to one of our cats… Can’t quite tell which yet, but he won’t leave her alone.
And, he’s eating.
Eaten almost all of his breakfast today, although, he hasn’t touched the Kale, which was previously one of his favourites. He’s eaten all the herbs, veggies and pellets, though.
He’s currently burying himself in his hay.
He seems better and happier today and last night than he has for a couple of months…
That’s WONDERFUL! My bun Apollo is actually starting to show interest in my roommates cat and she started chasing her around until I noticed the cat kind of acting like she was scared.
It could be that he is showing a sign of dominance.
It sounds like he’s turned the corner.
Sending a few extra {{{{{{{{{{{{Healing vibes}}}}}}}}}}}}} just in case.
Good luck!
Excellent news! Heal quickly Link!
Glad to hear the positive update!
So, happy to hear that he is doing better! I can not imagine how tough all of this has been for you guys! Healing vibes and a speedy recovery to little link!
How are things going? Still improving?
