It just never ends… does it?

I don’t know where to turn, as this is the only place that understands what it is like to have a bunny apart of the family and living in the household.

 

I’m going to try to make this short, I can’t make any promises..

 

I’m living in my grandparent’s house, and its just my dad, myself, and little Koucha (Chacha) bun. Chacha lives downstairs in the living room, and connected to the living room is the garage. We are trying to sell this house. People are offended by animals, stinky or not (I personally think we humans stink, thats just my opinion).

Anyways, we switched real estate agencies to {edited}

My dad freaked out and told me that agents that show the house to clients are pretty critical. Agents will e-mail comments to my dad AND uncle and tell them what needs to be done.

Funny thing is, we’ve done a lot of the stuff.. and, its hard to ‘IMPRESS’ everyone that comes in because PEOPLE STILL OCCUPY the house!!

One of the comments was my bunny. Not surprised.

My dad and I came up with a plan.

Chacha won’t live in her kennel in the living room, but just x-pen. Whenever someone comes over to see the house – either my dad or myself will put Chacha in her carrier. I have set up the kennel in the garage for her to be put in when stinky humans come to look at the house. After they leave, whoever is at home (dad or me) will set up the x-pen and put her back into the living room.

On weekends, this is how the routine will be – she will be kenneled up in the garage when I wake up, and she will be put back into the living room at 6 pm. There are normally stinky humans that will come and look at the house during the weekends. After 6 pm, she will be free range until I go to bed, and I will x-pen her til I wake up the next morning. OTHERWISE, during the weekdays, she will be in the living room 100%, unless some hooman decides to come by and look at the house. I showed my dad what to do if that occurs.

This is so stressful. Not just on me or my dad, but on poor Chacha as well. I hope that she doesn’t get harmed or get so scared she has a heart attack

We went through the same thing when we sold our house last November. Vin lived in the computer room and Addie & Ben lived in one of the bedrooms. So each time someone wanted a walk through we had to pack up all their stuff and set them up downstairs in the basement. And it wasn’t nothing simple like just moving their cage because we use nic’s and their enclosures are huge, so we had to disassemble, reassemble, disassemble…

That went on for almost 2 weeks. Luckily our house sold in just over 16 days. The poor buns, you can tell that they were definitely not enjoying it at all.

I’m so glad it sold!

We’re going to start looking for a house next year and I’m already preparing to do the same thing with my two when our landlord starts showing our townhouse. Unfortunately I’m not really sure where to put them … but they really can’t be taking up half of the dining room when potential renters come over. It’s stressful, but totally necessary. As a future home buyer, I don’t want people’s animals (stinky or not) all over the house because it impacts my ability to see the layout of the house and walk around. It sucks, but it’s necessary!

I’m glad you had good news! That does sound incredibly stressful, for you and Chacha! But I get it. These agents are professionals, they know how potential buyers think, and the important thing is that you get out of that house and into a better place.

My dad and I have until October 15th to be out of this place.

We have already found an apartment. It doesn’t matter what floor we get (I’m used to it, I’ve lived on the 2nd floor apartments before) as long as we get the floor plan that we want Its an awesome floorplan.

Chacha will get the sunroom. I’m going to put up curtains for her – you know summer can get pretty hot. That is the first thing my dad said when we went to check out the apartments.. jeez, she even had my dad wrapped around her paw from before

She will get to roam around the living/dining/kitchen area when I am at home. I think she will be pretty mad when she first arrives (My dad and I re-organized the living room of the house we are at now on Saturday and Chacha got angry! LOL!) but I think she’ll like it  I like it

Anyways, I’m not looking forward to moving.. The thing I’m looking forward to is shopping at IKEA MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
