As Dandela runs around free (or should I say hop), she likes to stop and stand on her hinds. itsamazing and so cute, but I can never get a pic of her when she does. I will sooner or later, I just need to keep my cam close by. This is one thing you all have to see. her intire body is up, parellel with her straight up ears. what a sight, I can’t wait to share this amazing moment with you all. I may have to cam, instead of pic and post it on you tube. but one way or another, you will see it.

oh, I love her so much.

Aww! It’s called periscope and they do it to survey their area! Lolli does it all the time, but usually to look at me for treats! LOL

Yes, it’s called periscoping as Michelle said and it’s adorable! It seems most common in baby rabbits and smaller rabbits – at least in my experience.

I read somewhere that bunnies who are rounder on bottom aren’t able to do it as much or at all. Eddie wasn’t able to do it after he was fully grown cause he was too round and bottom heavy. Poor boy would try but he’d just tip over. LOL

Momo, being an arch breed, has no issue at all standing and looking around. She does it all the time. She can also climb very very well. I had to improvise a lid for her pen, she was climbing out of it. Very curious little brat she is.

I am still trying to get a video of her doing it. I will get it sooner or later.

Interesting! Otto is fairly bottom heavy (he is a holland afterall) but he’s small and he periscopes all the time. So cute. He probably does it more because I trained him to, and now he thinks he can get a treat at any time just by standing up (or spinning around). Apparently he’s the one who trained me. Haha

Hannah has a much bigger bum than him (and is bigger in general) and she almost never does it. Sometimes if she really wants to see what’s going on she’ll stand up, but generally she just sits and stretches her head up as high as it will go without actually getting on her hind legs.

I’ve never thought about this before, but the size and shape must make a big difference!

Hehe it is the cutest thing ever especially when they just stand there and “wait for the bus” hehe. Comet does this A LOT partcularly for treats and Chubs will do it occasionally too! Love it and it is SO hard to catch on camera, just like the yawns…
