        Hi guys!
My names Nikita and my buns name is Norman.
He is a rescue rabbit, 3 years old, and I’m worried we’re not binding.
I’ve had him for about 2 – 3 months now, and I spend as much time as I can with him. I’ve tried playing with toys with him, but he’s just not interested. He trusts me enough to let me give him pats, and pick him up occasionally (although he hates it, he knows it means play time outside), but he never initiated cuddles or willingly jumps on my lap, chest when I’m laying down etc.
I can’t seem to find any toys he’s interested in, other than chewing cardboard boxes which I think he does too frequently (is there a limit I should put on this?).
I understand it takes serious time and effort to bond with your bun, but I feel like I’m trying really hard and he just couldn’t care less! I just want to know if it’s normal for bonding to take this long, Or is he just not a super effectionate rabbit?
Your opinions/advice would really be appreciated.
        Thank you!

Not all bunnies are the cuddly type. Neither of mine jump on my lap just to cuddle. They only jump if they’re overexcited for treats lol. It doesn’t mean he’s not bonding with you.

What toys have you tried? Mine love willow toys because they can eat, destroy and throw them around.

Different bunnies show affection in different ways. Neither of my boys want to sit with me. They seem to enjoy being petted, but not for extended periods of time. I often joke that all I good for is food and naners.

Depends on the rabbit. There are some who just need a little more time to come out of their shell; there are also some that simply have a non cuddly personality. But we love them for who they are regardless
