After 1 year of research I’m finally getting my bunny in 2 weeks. I live in an european country and we don’t have romaine lettuce. The only types we have are “green salad” and iceberg lettuce. I was wondering if what we call green salad it good for a rabbit. I’ll attach a picture for you to take a look. Thanks!

          Hi Oliver
Yes, that lettuce would be fine. If you are getting a young rabbit, start out slowly with greens. Herbs are also a good thing to begin with.

            Hi Oliver.
Depending on what you mean by “Green Salad” that should be good. Go to the link that Jerseygirl posted and compare what lettuces are in the mix with the list.

Yes, most likely, if the leaves are a deep green color it means they are in high nutritional value and are healthy for rabbits to eat. The issue with iceberg lettuce is that it is mostly composed of water, which you can see with the very light colors, and just gives your bun’s digestive system extra work to do, and also increases their weight. So that’s why it’s not healthy and shouldn’t really be given at all. Your green salad lettuce looks perfectly fine though!
