1 of mine is solo inside, 11 others outside on our deck til they are spayed and neutered. I give the 1 about this much veggies plus 1 cup romaine, green leaf, red leaf etc lettuce or some type or ornamental lettuces. Jack’s favorite is kale too. Try broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, cucumber(everybody’s favorite) Brussels sprouts, chard and collard, turnip or mustard greens too. Mine also like fresh herbs like basil, cilantro and parsley too. I’ve read over and over they should have a variety of greens and veggies from week to week for varied nutrition. A quarter sized piece of carrot and apple per day I’ve read is ok. We have about a cup of lettuce, another leaf or two of green leafy veg and about 1 cup of 3 mixed veg once a day per rabbit, at night works best for my guys.
I read no onion, cabbage, citrus or celery.
They always have fresh hay too, so I figure I’m covered. Carrots, watermelon, apple, peach, canteloupe or any other starch your Bun likes are treats. I recently found that pineapple and papaya help them break down hair they ingest, preventing hair balls.
I’m no expert on this. This is the collective info that has been repeated in my findings. Mine seem happy and healthy.
