  Hi I have had my bunster named hope for 3 years since she was a baby. She used to lick me a lot but she suddenly stopped . However she still circled me honking when I step into her playpen,runs up to me honking when I get off from work or it story and singing time, she recently started snuggling right next to me as I pet her, she has never nipped bit or growled at me, she perks up when I talk to her or lays down as I gently rub her head, if I leave the room in the middle of the night she always wakes up and states at the door and won’t laydown until I lay down, if I’m upset or crying she always comes to me , sometimes she randomly nudges me the list goes on . All of these are signs of affection right ? Not sure why she no longer gives kisses but she’s still super sweet.

  I have two rabbits, a female and male. My female rabbit voraciously licks my boyfriend and I get so jealous! Licking/grooming is obviously a sign of a strong bond, but it can also be a sign of submission. A rabbit who bows her head to be groomed is, in their mind, the dominant rabbit. It could be that as your rabbit has grown older, the rabbit is realizing its dominance, and knows your love for her so she chooses to be groomed rather than groom. However, all of the signs you mentioned are delightful, adoring gestures. They signify trust, excitement, love, and contentment. You have a happy rabbit, and a spoiled one! I try not to get my feelings hurt when my rabbit licks my boyfriend and not me. She expects me to pet her for long periods of time and doesn’t attempt to groom me, but will groom her bunny husband and my boyfriend without giving them time to groom her. I take that as a sign that she knows where her affection comes from. That may be a superstitious guess, but that’s what I like to believe. Either way, you have a happy rabbit

  Thank you ! Lol aww , sorry your bun doesn’t groom you either. Mine is spoiled but I can’t help it she’s such a cutie !

  Haha. That’s okay! She loves me and I adore her. Haha, it’s hard not to spoil them! I agree!
