i did write about this two days ago but i wanna update y’all, i took my rabbit to the vet did and x ray and all he said she’s doesn’t have any broken bones or dislocated bones i asked him if she’s paralyzed he said no and gave me a medicine that he said was good for nerves it’s only her second day after the medication but she’s still not moving her foot she can move the thigh and leg but not the foot itself i’m so worried also you guys recommend i go to a rabbit expert vet i didn’t find any in my country only TWO hospitals accept rabbits because they’re considered “exotic” animals anyways the doctor said to comeback after 10 days but i’m so impatient and i can literally feel my heart breaking everytime i see her she used to love jumping and playing but now she’s not as active

Which country are you in? Are there any rabbit clubs, rabbit rescues, or similar organizations that you can contact? Do you know of any experienced house rabbit owners in your country?

i’m in kuwait and i don’t think there’s anything rabbit related here because not many people have pet rabbits here and a lot of rabbits are mistreated and not properly taken care of due to the lack of knowledge people are so ignorant when it comes to rabbit care to the point where everyone is shocked that my rabbit is still alive after 5 years of adopting it usually people who buy rabbits lose them after a couple of months bc the rabbit passes away because it’s not being taken care of properly

i live in kuwait and like i said rabbits are considered rare/exotic pets people are so ignorant when it comes to taking care of a rabbit that most rabbits die after a few weeks of being bought/adopted due to the lack of knowledge and because people here think rabbits are just cute animals who only eat lettuce and fresh vegetables you don’t even understand how ignorant people are when it comes to rabbits here everyone is shocked bc my rabbit is still alive and because i had her for 5 yrs now i swear they think i’m some kind of magician just because my rabbit haven’t passed away after a few weeks of being bought

In that case, @Q8bunny is the person you want to talk to. He’s a Canadian who lives in Kuwait and his bun is Chewie. He may well be able to help you find a vet who can look at your rabbit and give you a better idea of what’s wrong, as well as offer you advice/assistance on care. I recommend you PM him if he doesn’t see this thread.

Just to add, Q8 is a female =) But it’s quite correct she’s in Kuwait and I’m certain she’ll help you!

Chewie (bunny) is a male though.

Oooooooooooooooooooooops.  I don’t think I’m likely to feel any more mortified this month… That being said, if there’s anyone locally who can help you, she can!
