When we got Ralphy in October they said he was 2 months old so he should be roughly 4 months now. And, to be frank, I see no testicules, not even a little. Mice have bigger testicules then what Ralphy has. Do you think he could be a girl?? He doesn’t act like a female rabbit is known to be (territorial, aggressive, doesn’t like being held). He’s a lovebug! Why hasn’t his testicules dropped yet?

Did you ever have the vet actually sex him? That’s the best way to determine the sex rather than waiting for testicles to drop or not drop.

Wait, hasn’t he been to the vet for health issues? How would they not have checked?

Oh, good idea Sarita. I didn’t even ask the vet! At our next visit I’ll ask him to check my bunny. : )

The vet is definitely the best way to make sure of the gender. In the meantime you could try to sex him, http://www.rabbitnetwork.org/articles/sexing.shtml. But still go to the vet. I was told Wilbur was a boy when I adopted her from the humane society, yeah no

I would get him vet checked, many people mistake a rabbits gender when they are younger… btw, my Nava is an unaltered female around 8 years and she is a cuddle bug. She actually likes to be held, loves people, isn’t territorial and loves to sit on my lap and eat veggies on me. :/

I would say Nava is an exception, not the rule for that

I’m a big believer in it all depend son the individual animal itself. Many may be terrers, but not all are.

I think it probably depends on a lot of factors. Personality for sure, but age, diet, lifestyle, amount of time spent with the slave are sure to make a difference

True that. My girl was abused and when I got her the first year they were in my care her and her sister were terrified of everyone, then they became a lot more mellow. They both were friendly but Nava is super cuddley. They got a lot of attention because of their past, and I wanted them able to trust people again.

Tait’s testicles didnt drop until he was almost 5 months old. It went from nothing to bam just like that.

The gender mix up is quite common. For some reason, I knew that I wanted a girl bun, but if I ended up with a boy, I would be totally cool with that as well.

I swear my bunjamin’s testicles appeared overnight. That was embarrassing when I took him to the vet calling him a girl and they were like… no he’s not! lol

Yeah I thought I preferred boy animals over girls (I was following the stereotype that boys more laid back, so not true though) but now I’m really glad Wilbur is a girl for some reason lol.
