I recently adopted two baby holland lop bunnies. They are about 9 weeks old now and my fiance pointed out to me that their fur looked dirty (as in greasy no matting or loss) and was a sign of them being sick. I don’ tnotice any changes in behavior they are still hopping around, playing, eating, and drinking.

Are they sick? or are they just growing into their adult fur?

        Thanks!

Can you post pics ? It can be as sign of illness it can also be a result of other things. Have you had a baseline vetcheck ?

heres a couple pictures. They don’t really look that bad here but in comparison to how they usually look they look a bit dirty to me.

Here is a picture from a couple weeks a go and how they look.

I really cannot tell at all from the photo about what you are seeing in the fur. They just look fluffy to me. I’ve never heard of “greasy” looking fur being and indication of illness in rabbits either.

You shouldn’t bathe a rabbit – they don’t need it. It would be a good idea however to set up a vet appointment for a baseline wellness check and sexing them.
