Is my bunny marking (spraying)?

My bunny is still young, but I believe he is getting close to 4 months old, as his testicles are pretty descended and I believe he is starting to realize he is a “man”. He is litter trained, and does not pee outside his box, but he will drop his “marker poop” in his cage. His testicles are pretty descended, but I did not think he was already 4 months old. When I let him run around, I have a fleece blanket for his to jump and play (we have hardwood floors and he doesn’t like that for jumping and doing his “karate moves”), he will pee just little spots here and there on the blanket. He will run and play then stop and just let out a trickle. He often hops in his litter box but he doesn’t pee entirely. He does it straight on the blanket, he does not find like a bunched up spot or on furniture however. So I am not sure if he is spraying or if he just gets excited and pees a little. He only does this when he runs on this blanket, he doesn’t do it when he runs on the hardwood or in his cage or anything. And yes I will getting him neutered.

i’m not sure! We have a male bunny too. We just recently got him neutered on 3/24. He never marked with poop, but every day would mark 2 specific sections of my kitchen with pee. I just realized today that he hasn’t done that since his surgery.

I can commiserate….. my bunny is a wicked marker/sprayer (he’s getting neutered in 6 days). He’s around 10 months now we think and with the arrival of the Spring, his little bunny hormones have really kicked in. I HAVE noticed that as soon as we start to really play with him…. either shake our heads to initiate play or talk to him in a louder, more excitable manner or jump around with him (he likes that)…. he has started to spray ME sometimes! Darn it if he has really good aim too. So, I can relate that he seems to spray/mark more when he gets excited and also he seems to “show off” for us sometimes when he binkies and sprays at the same time. I haven’t noticed him having marked any spots when we weren’t around/playing with him – seems with our bun, he’s just doing it to communicate with us ( Mine! Yea! It’s all MINE! I like you! ) I know he can’t help it…. it’s just what some male bunnies do – hopefully both our buns will stop after altering them.
