Hey, I have one Netherland Dwarf male called Alex  and I also have a mixed bred of dwarf lop x lion head who is also male called Fluffy. They currently live in 2×3 C&C cage each and get 4 hours of playtime everyday. But I would love them to have a  huge cage and have company all the time. They have both recently turned 1 years old and have yet to be neutered. Although I know they have both reached sexual maturity, they have never shown any aggression, they have the best toilet habits, I want them to live as long as possible. To neuter rabbits near me is very expensive so I’m still saving up, but my mum would like to have one cage as it will be easier for all of us to clean and quicker too or else she will have to take them away from me. Is there anyway you can bond two unneutered male rabbits?

I understand your financial concern, but I believe that to have a strong lasting bond between two bunnies, both have to be neutered. Have you asked around at local bunny vets to see how much a rabbit neuter costs? Luckily, neuters tend to be a lot cheaper than spays.

The first step in bonding rabbits is to have them spayed or neutered. Even though they have never shown any aggression, that would be taking a very big chance to put them together, especially to cage them together. There would very likely be fighting with a good possibility of injuries. Also, unneutered males often feel sexually frustrated, and they would be much more content if they didn’t have to deal with that frustration. Although most low cost spay neuter clinics accept dogs and cats only, there are some that will also take rabbits. Maybe you could find one near you.

I think they could get along, but if they did it could easily change in the blink of an eye. Something could set the other off. You wouldn’t want there to be a fight, especially if they are confined together in the same cage.
