  Pancake LOVES to chew zippers, I’m not letting him cuz I don’t know if it’s bad for him or the pieces will come off and he’ll chock or something.

  my general rule of thumb is… if my bun is able to chew off pieces off of anything i don’t let her chew it at all. wouldn’t want her to ingest something foreign & she’s too silly to know better herself

  Kokanee loves to chew on zippers too! I think because it’s super hard they like it…I don’t let her personally because it ruins my clothes and I have many many ruined clothes…I don’t really think that they would choke because, I don’t know they dont’ seem to try to swallow stuff that they can’t but you never know…
  Does Pancake have other things to chew on? Bunnies LOVE cardboard! YOu can give pancake toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls to chew! Or a phonebook, or even a towel you don’t like much anymore!

  I second babybunsbum’s theory! Anything that can be chewn to bits and is essentially a foreign object in the stomach is a no-chew. It’s best to stick with apple or willow branches.

  Bunnies like to chew on lots of things that aren’t safe or good for them. Part of the reason I always make sure to have lots of willow toys and such is to give them something they enjoy to chew on and discourage them from chewing on unsafe things.

  rather than reviewing everything, i would check out the toys section on here. there are so many different things that some buns like, many of them are items that can be found around the house or are relatively inexpensive. it may take many different tries to find one or two things that your bun loves. plus, don’t forget that all bunnies play different ways… you’ve got chewers and diggers and tossers and several other ways that bunnies play.

  Pepper chewed the zipper off one of my suitcases. Pretty much took it off in one long strip. Serves me right for leaving the closet door open.

  Pancake, how about a plain paper bag? Mine love to explore and chew those as well as a plain natural wicker (no dyes or varnish) laundry basket flipped upside down and a bunny-sized butt entrance where one of the hand holds is.

  HE LOVES IT!! I made an inclosure for him and he does binkies all over the place and jumps on the bag and sometimes he lays on the bag and chews on his book and the bag for a while. It’s SO CUTE!!!!!!!!
