Is it best to have new bunny in seperate room until spayed

  Hello! I currently have a netherland dwarf who is around 1 year and 6 months old and he is neutered. I have had him for a year and am getting a female 6 month old holland lop tomorrow!
  
  I am going to get her spayed about 2-3 weeks after we have had her so she can feel a bit more stable with the environment. I was thinking it would be best to keep them completely seperated until after she has healed from the surgery. So right now we have her living area set up in our room. And our current bunny is living in the living room. Is this a good idea? I know some people immediately put their pens next to each other but since she isnt spayed is it best to wait? Thanks!

  If you’re willing to do immediate separation right away, I would recommend just going forward with that. Not much long-standing progress can be made in 2-3 weeks and the spay will end up wiping the slate somewhat clean since they have barely known each other!
  
  One reason I could think of to justify moving them into the same room (still separated) is if there seems to be a lot of expressed distress/fear about hearing what could be another rabbit in the home prancing about and not being able to see it, but I doubt that would happen.
